WHY CHOOSE THE LONG VERSION?
The Haqihana Long Harness is a safe, secure, comfortable Y shaped dog harness. It is designed to rest completely on the thorax keeping the dog’s neck & shoulder joints free. We are proud to offer the Haqihana Long Harness in Australia, and we might be biased, but we think it is the best dog harness available.
The Haqihana Harness is also available in four long sizes also (XXSL-XSL-SL-ML) with longer straps on back and abdomen, specifically designed for deep-chested dogs such as Galgos, Greyhounds, French Bulldogs, Whippets and Dachshunds and is a great choice for dogs who are very calm and confident when out walking.
The long version of the harness is designed to be used on dogs with a very wide neck and deep breastbone. These harnesses have longitudinal elements that correspond to the next size up. For example the SL (Small Long) has the chest circumference of the Small but is long on the back and on the sternum like the Medium. This shifts the chest strap rearwards by about 5 cm compared to a standard harness ensuring there is no rubbing under the armpits of longer breeds of dogs.
Longer breeds of dogs, such as Greyhounds, have a choice of either the Long version or the Double H Harness. We recommend the Long version for dogs who are very calm and confident when walking and the Double H version for dogs who require extra security because they are timid, easily scared or escape artists.
The Long harnesses are available in all colours but only four sizes: Medium (ML), Small (SL), Extra Small (XSL) and Extra Extra Small (XXSL).
The Blue High Vis harness is a great choice for dogs that are walked or run at night as it contains stitching that reflects light.

DESIGN
Design, together with well-proportioned dimensions and positioning of the harness on the dog have been carefully studied to guarantee maximum comfort in all situations. Pressure is properly distributed on the dogs sternum and thorax only, even when the dog is pulling, jerking or being restrained. The two buckles and their position make putting on and removing the harness trouble-free for dog and owner.
ADJUSTABILITY
The carefully studied sizes and the five point adjustment guarantees optimal wearability and adaptability of the harness for all dog sizes and morphology.
MANUFACTURE
The harnesses are hand-made paying great attention to detail. In fact safety and comfort for the dog are very important. All parts are sewn together with secure stitching and the overlapping parts, which have contact with the skin, are finished with a special stitching to avoid any rubbing, particularly in the short-haired dog. The high quality materials, all produced in Europe, satisfy non-toxic, hypoallergenic, and recyclable requirements, and enable a 5-year manufacturer’s guarantee on harnesses.
WEBBING
The webbing is made with high tenacity spun-dyed nylon-6 which guarantees colour homogeneity and resistance. The special characteristics of nylon (polyamide) make it particularly suitable for a harness and leash production. In fact, amongst synthetic fibbers nylon is well known for its softness, optimal strength-to-weight ratio, abrasion resistance and chemical and biological stability. Finally, it is fully recyclable. The webbing is made in Italy to Haqihana design.
THE PLASTIC COMPONENTS
The buckles and adjusters are made from acetal resin which maintains long lasting mechanical and shock resistance even in extreme conditions. The plastic parts are rounded off and have no sharp edges in order to ensure the dogs comfort.
THE D-RING
The metal components are in stainless steel (AISI 304) which does not release Nickel or cause allergic reactions in accordance with European regulations.
